Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people." 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces, and therein they shall be grinning. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them. 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account." 113 He will say: "You stayed only for a while, if you only knew that. 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 Now Allah be Exalted, the True King! There is no Allah save Him, the Lord of the Throne of Grace. 116 And whosoever calls upon another god with God, whereof he has no proof, his reckoning is with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." 118
