The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Whither then will you go? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
