Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 Till, when We seize with the chastisement the ones of them that live at ease, behold, they groan. 64 (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Or, is it that thou askest of them any maintenance? The maintenance of thy Lord is better, and He is the Best of providers. 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! 77
