The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
