Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 He abandoned his people 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand men or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him)! 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
