Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 and will be made to drink from a boiling spring, 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 in a Garden on high, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 and prepared goblets, 14 And arranged carpets. 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed, 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
