Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), enlighten, for by the munificence of your Lord, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people? 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Created they the heavens and the earth! Aye! they will not be convinced. 36 [How could they?] Are thy Sustainer's treasures with them? Or are they in charge [of destiny]? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Or has He only daughters and ye have sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Or do they have knowledge of the Unknown which they write down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! 42 Or, do they have a god, other than Allah? Exaltations to Allah above that which they associate! 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible - 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 and also celebrate His praise at night, and at the retreat of the stars. 49
