The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
