Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 I seek refuge in You lest they come to me." 98 (But the unbelievers will persist) until when death comes to one of them he will say: "O Lord, send me back again 99 "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up. 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured). 104 "Were not My Verses (this Quran) recited to you, and then you used to deny them?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 "Behold, there were among My servants such as would pray, 'O our Sustainer! We have come to believe [in Thee]; forgive, then, our sins and bestow Thy mercy on us: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!' 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 He will say, “How long did you stay on earth, counting by the number of years? 112 They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
