Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
