Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha. Mim. 1 'Ain. Sin. Qaf. 2 THUS has God, the Almighty, the Wise, revealed [the truth] unto thee, [O Muhammad,] and unto those who preceded thee: 3 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: and He is Most High, Most Great. 4 The heavens almost break from above them, and the angels exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Unquestionably, it is Allah who is the Forgiving, the Merciful. 5 God is the guardian of even those who have chosen others (idols) besides Him as their guardians (Muhammad), you will not have to answer for them. 6 We have revealed the Quran to you in the Arabic language so that you could warn the people of the Mother Town (Mecca) and those around it of the inevitable Day of Resurrection when some will go to Paradise and others to hell. 7 And had Allah willed, He would have made them one community; but He causeth whomsoever He will to enter into His mercy. And the wrong doers! for them there shall be no patron or helper. 8 Or have they taken to them protectors apart from Him? But God -- He is the Protector; He quickens the dead, and He is powerful over everything. 9
