Al-Takaathur
Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 You will be shown hell 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
