Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And surely they used to say: 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That they would be helped, 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
