Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
