The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
