The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
