And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 The devils convey upon them what they heard, but most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
