Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? 1 and removed your burden 2 that weighed down your back? 3 And did We not exalt your fame? 4 And behold, with every hardship comes ease: 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 When you are free from (your obligations), strive hard (to worship God) 7 And incline towards your Lord. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
