Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Did We not widen your bosom? 1 And removed from thee thy burden 2 which had been a heavy weight upon your back 3 have We not given you high renown? 4 But lo! with hardship goeth ease, 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when you finish the prayer, strive in supplication. 7 and unto thy Sustainer turn with love. 8
