Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are verses of the wise Book, 2 providing guidance and grace unto the doers of good 3 Those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as- Salat) and give Zakat and they have faith in the Hereafter with certainty. 4 Those are guided by their Lord and will surely prosper. 5 Some men there are who buy diverting talk to lead astray from the way of God without knowledge, and to take it in mockery; those -- there awaits them a humbling chastisement. 6 And when Our communications are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement. 7 Verily those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens of Delight. 8 Abiding in them; the promise of Allah; (a) true (promise), and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 This is the creation of Allah; shew me that which those beside Him have created. Aye! the wrong-doers are in error manifest. 11
