Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
