Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
