۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 Then is relief, and flowers and Gardens of peace. 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
