Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
