Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 separating one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 until an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
