The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
