Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
