Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
