Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
