The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Verily your God is One. 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
