Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Travailing, worn. 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 Well-pleased with their endeavour, 9 In a high Garden. 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 and couches raised high, 13 And cups put in place 14 and cushions arrayed 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder; 21 thou canst not compel them [to believe]. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26
