Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Say (unto them): Except (your fill)! Lo! I am with you among the expectant. 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! 33 Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful. 34 Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather they are not certain. 36 Or are thy Lord's treasuries in their keeping? Or are they the registrars? 37 Or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen (to what is transpiring in the Higher Realm)? Then, let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it. 38 Do the daughters belong to Him and the sons to you? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or [do they think] that the hidden reality [of all that exists] is almost within their grasp, so that [in time] they can write it down? 41 Or do they want to entrap [thee in contradictions]? But they who are bent on denying the truth - it is they who are truly entrapped! 42 Or do they have a God besides Allah? Purity is to Allah from their ascribing of partners to Him. 43 (So obstinate are they that) even if they were to see some fragments of the sky falling down they would still say: “It is only a mass of cloud.” 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs when they shall be struck down, 45 when their stratagem shall be of no avail to them, nor shall they be succoured. 46 And verily for those who do wrong there is a torment before that; but most of them know not. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
