The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 He said, "My Lord has full knowledge of all your actions." 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
