Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
