The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The All-merciful 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He created the human being 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
