The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 and the scarers scaring 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
