Nay, by the moon, 32 by the retreating night, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 A warning unto humankind 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 who will be in Paradise 40 concerning the sinners, 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
