Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 roasting at a scorching Fire 4 They will be given drink from a boiling spring. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 well-pleased with their striving. 9 In an elevated garden, 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 And cups put in place 14 cushions ranged, 15 And linen spread out. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 and on the sky, how it is raised aloft, 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
