Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 We have laid out gardens of dates and grapes upon it, and made springs of water flow, 34 That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful? 35 Hallowed be He who hath created all the pairs of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves and of that which they know not! 36 And a sign for them is the night, We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 38 We have appointed stages for the moon till it returns in the shape of a dry old branch of palm-tree. 39 Neither does it lie in the sun's power to overtake the moon nor can the night outstrip the day. All glide along, each in its own orbit. 40 And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nuh (Noah)]. 41 And We have created for them the like of it, what they will ride on. 42 We could have drowned them if We pleased, and none would have answered their cry for help, nor would they have been saved, 43 Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time. 44 When it is said unto them: Beware of that which is before you and that which is behind you, that haply ye may find mercy (they are heedless). 45 Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom. 46 And when it is said to them: “Spend (in the Way of Allah) out of the sustenance that Allah has provided you,” the unbelievers say to the believers: “Shall we feed him whom, Allah would have fed, had He so wished?” Say: “You are in evident error.” 47 They say: “When will this threat (of Resurrection) come to pass? Tell us if indeed you are truthful.” 48 The Truth is that they are waiting for nothing but a mighty Blast to seize them the while they are disputing (in their worldly affairs), 49 So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor shall they return to their families. 50
