Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

And certainly We have made strongholds in the heaven and We have made it fair seeming to the beholders. 16 And We have guarded it from every outcast devil, 17 save him who may eavesdrop, and then a bright flame pursues him. 18 And the earth-- We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing. 19 And created livelihoods for you in it, and created those for whom you do not provide the sustenance. 20 And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure. 21 And We loose the winds fertilising, and We send down out of heaven water, then We give it to you to drink, and you are not its treasurers. 22 for, behold, it is We - We alone - who grant life and deal death, and it is We alone who shall remain after all else will have passed away! 23 And well do We know [the hearts and deeds of all human beings - both] those who lived before you and those who will come after you; 24 Indeed your Lord will gather them all together. Surely He is All-Wise, All-Knowing. 25
