Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Woe to the liars 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
