Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Say: 'It is revealed to me that a party of jinn listened then said: "We have indeed heard a wonderful Koran, 1 "which guides to the Right Way; so we have come to believe in it, and we will not associate aught with Our Lord in His Divinity”; 2 and exalted is the majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife nor a son. 3 And [now we know] that the foolish among us have been saying outrageous things about God. 4 And that we thought that men and jinn did not utter a lie against Allah: 5 But there were certain men from mankind who would take refuge with certain males from the jinn and they increased them in tyranny. 6 'And they (came to) think as ye thought, that Allah would not raise up any one (to Judgment). 7 (The jinn continued saying): "We made our way towards heaven, but we found it filled with stern guards and a flame. 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good: 10 And that some of us are good and others of us are below that: we are sects following different ways: 11 And that we know that we cannot escape Allah in the earth, nor can we escape Him by flight: 12 ‘And that when we heard the guidance, we accepted faith in it; so whoever accepts faith in his Lord, has no fear – neither of any loss nor of any injustice.’ 13 ‘And that some among us are Muslims and some are the unjust; and whoever has accepted Islam – it is they who have thought rightly.’ 14 And as for the deviators, for Hell they shall be fuel. 15 And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision 16 so that We may test them by it -- whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord shall be sternly punished. 17 The places of worship belong to God; so call not, along with God, upon anyone. 18 and when Allah's servant stood up to call on Him, they well-nigh swarmed him. 19
