The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they sat by it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
