Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
