The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when souls are united, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And the close of night, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
