Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say, "It (facts about the supremacy of God) is the greatest message, 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 except Iblis. He waxed proud and became one of the unbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 He said: “Get out of here; surely you are accursed, 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 Said Allah, “So this is the truth; and I speak only the truth.” – 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 This is nothing but an Admonition for all people the world over. 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
