Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 So leave them in their bewilderment for a while. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Surely they who from fear of their Lord are cautious, 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord. 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 [But they will be told] "Cry not in supplication today; for, behold, you shall not be succoured by Us! 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Pondered they not over the Word? or came there unto them that which came not unto their fathers ancient? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
