The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the midday brightness 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
