Warnings also came to the Pharaonites, 41 they, too, gave the lie to all Our messages: and thereupon We took them to task as only the Almighty, who determines all things, can take to task. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 Our command consists of only one Word which is carried out in the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). 55
