Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they will remain dejected in it. 104 (We shall say): 'Were My verses not recited to you, and did you not belie them' 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 And He will ask: 'How many years did you live on earth' 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 He who crieth unto any other god along with Allah hath no proof thereof. His reckoning is only with his Lord. Lo! disbelievers will not be successful. 117 (Muhammad), say, "Lord, forgive me and grant me mercy; You are the best of the Merciful Ones. 118
